    That wasn't his exact words. He stated for the time being they are focusing on the cold water lakes due to the lack of fish.

    These lakes have the option of stocking themselves and choose not. That's their choice to rely on DFW and not actually manage their fishery.

    Camanche holds a huge population of bass as well and suffers from warm water. Yet they do not rely on DFW stocks and have a year around fishery for trout, as does Pardee and Collins

    This doesn’t pass the smell test for me. It would surprise me a great deal if it were true.

    I got the info from Brian Beal, senior environmental supervisor for DFW, I think our local biologist is Kyle Murphy, maybe he could weigh in on this. Waiting to hear from Brian.

    I also did a quick search and could find nothing. I would think that would be big news if that happens.

    Please post reference material or website that announces CDFW's policy. A quick search didn't reveal any information, etc. Thanks.
