    I think April/May is the timing for the big Striper spawning migration up the Sacramento River towards Colusa, CA.

    Tons of folks will be on the Sacramento and Feather Rivers in boats north of Sacramento, CA.


    The mouth of the Feather River is a favorite spot for many to anchor for Stripers and Shad.


    In the past during lower water years we use to wade the mouth of the Feather River for Shad and Stripers.

    Not bad! We were out there as well and only had 1 keeper and 2 lil shakers. We were on the feather just up from the split. We fished on the left side as close to shore as possible as there was allot of water flowing over into the fields. Gonna be great fishing up this way as soon as this rain stops!

    That's not bad!

    We were out there too and couldn't buy a sturg or striper bite. Beautiful day on the water though.

    What was bait of choice?

    ps. you probably meant 3-24 in the title?

    sunday 2 24 verona

    several boats out. water stained 53 degrees not a bunch of grass. found a spot with little current which is important. fished just 10 ft from shore in 16ft of water. 3 shakers 3 keepers to 27" 7lb
    did hook very big sturgeon only to have my 5 o owner long shank worm hook break right at appex. not even pulling it up off the bottom just a drag run
    first owner i have had break
